Fall 2009 through Spring 2010 Class Schedule

For your convenience, this page lists all ADA classes currently scheduled for fall 2009 through spring 2010, by grade level.

Simply locate the grade level of the class you need, and information about the level as well as the class days, times, and tuition amounts appear. (Scroll down the page to find the appropriate level. Adult tap class, new to ADA this year, is at the bottom of the table. Don't miss this opportunity!)

Note: All classes on this page are held at the Camelot studio location unless otherwise noted. For information specific to the St. Michael studio location, click here.

Parent & Tot Pre-Ballet (St. Michael's & A.V. Sorenson Locations)
Movement enrichment for ages 3-5 and a caregiver. This is a great introduction to movement and includes interaction with you and your child. Parent & Tot is a non-performing class designed for in-class enrichment for the very young dancer.

Not offered winter/spring 2010.

A wonderful introduction to ballet with creative movement for 3-5 year olds, ready to dance without a caregiver or parent. This class nurtures balance, coordination, and motor skills; it introduces basic ballet movements and terms.

St. Michael's and A.V. Sorenson classes are enrichment programs that include a parent demonstration in the spring. (These students do not participate in spring recital.) The classes at these locations are on-going. You can join at any time, and fees are prorated for late enrollment.

Pre-Ballet Primary
A wonderful introduction to ballet with creative movement for 3-5 year olds, ready to dance without a caregiver or parent. This class nurtures balance, coordination, and motor skills; it introduces basic ballet movements and terms.

If you have more than one student in Pre-Ballet, you can subtract $4 from the monthly rate.

Primary builds on the foundation of the pre-ballet classes and includes an introduction to tap. As the ballet skills are developing, the dexterity and musicality of tap dancing helps instill rhythm and agility. Approximate ages are 5-7.

Grade I Grade II
Grade I builds on the skills learned in the primary class and includes more challenging combinations and new vocabulary in both ballet and tap. Approximate ages are 7-10.

In addition to the increased level of ballet technique and tap skills, Grade II dancers will have an introduction to contemporary dance. Learning modern dance skills emphasizes strength and flexibility of the spine and freedom of movement while maintaining control of the center. In addition, dancers discover their personal range of movement and explore composition and choreography through improvisation and creative exercises.

Dancers in Grade II are strongly encouraged to take class twice a week. Approximate ages are 9-12.

The monthly rate takes into account two classes per week. If you take more than two classes per week, each additional class adds $46.50/month to the standard monthly rate.

Example: Your Grade II dancer signs up to take 3 classes per week. Tuition is $160.65/month ($114.15 + $46.50).

(You also have the option of paying the $179/month rate to take an unlimited number of classes per week.)

   
Grade III Grade IV
Grade III dancers enjoy separate, focused ballet, tap, and modern dance classes.

Grade III dancers are required to take a minimum of two classes per week, and one of these classes must be a ballet class. Approximate ages are 11-13.

Modern...Mondays 7:30 - 8:30 (Satterly)

Tap........Tuesdays 6:15 - 7:15 (Niemack)

$225/month (Unlimited number of classes/week.)

The monthly rate takes into account two classes per week. If you take more than two classes per week, each additional ballet class adds $49.85/month; each additional modern or tap class adds $44.29/month.

Example: Your Grade III dancer signs up for the Monday ballet and modern classes and signs up for the tap class on Tuesdays. Tuition is $165.52 ($121.23 + 44.29).

(You also have the option of paying the $225/month rate to take an unlimited number of classes per week.)

Grade IV dancers enjoy separate, focused ballet, tap, and modern dance classes.

Grade IV dancers are required to take a minimum of two classes per week, and one of these classes must be a ballet class.

If a Grade IV dancer wants to be considered for pointe work, two ballet classes per week are necessary to support technical skills. (This is not a guarantee of being placed on pointe, but it is necessary for consideration.)

The monthly rate takes into account two classes per week. If you take more than two classes per week, each additional ballet class adds $50.81/month; each additional modern or tap class adds $44.29/month.

Example: Your Grade IV dancer signs up for the Monday and Tuesday ballet classes and signs up for the modern class on Mondays and the tap class on Saturdays. Tuition is $211.85 ($123.27 + 44.29 for modern + $44.29 for tap).

(You also have the option of paying the $230/month rate to take an unlimited number of classes per week.)

   
Grade V Adult Class
Grade V dancers enjoy separate, focused ballet, tap, and modern dance classes.

Grade V dancers are required to take a minimum of two classes per week, and one of these classes must be a ballet class.

The monthly rate takes into account two classes per week. If you take more than two classes per week, each additional ballet class adds $51.77/month; each additional modern or tap class adds $44.29/month.

Example: Your Grade V dancer signs up for the Monday ballet class, the Thursday modern class, and the Saturday tap class. Tuition is $169.56 ($125.27 + 44.29).

(You also have the option of paying the $235/month rate to take an unlimited number of classes per week.)
