Dance Levels

Pre-Ballet

Enriching introduction to ballet with creative movement and vocabulary. Develops skills, balance, coordination, flexibility, motor and social skills, and creative problem solving, while fostering both body and brain development.

Primary

A weekly, one-hour class, with options to dance multiple times weekly for dancers who can’t wait for dance just once a week! Introduces tap dancing!

Novice

Includes more challenging combinations and new vocabulary in both ballet and tap.

Pre-Elementary

Increased level of ballet technique and tap skills. Introduction to modern and contemporary dance styles, which emphasizes strength and flexibility of the spine and freedom of movement while maintaining control of the center.

Elementary

Progression of dance technique in ballet, tap, and modern. Addition of pointe, jazz, and musical theater!

Intermediate

Progression of dance technique in ballet, tap, modern, musical theater, jazz, contemporary and ballet repertory. Intermediate dancers hone their foundation skills in ballet with more rigorous training and longer classes.

Advanced

Progression of dance technique in ballet, tap, modern, musical theater, jazz, and repertory. Advanced is where the dancer develops and hones their skills in ballet and various other styles to develop a highly technical and well rounded dancer that is adaptable to many styles.
Pedagogy and choreography workshops develop teaching and composition skills at this level.
