Adair Dance Academy Faculty
Julian founded Tanzlust, Inc. and Dance Conspiracy, Inc., both of which provided local choreographers and performers with venues for modern dance in Omaha. Serving on many boards and committees, her involvement also includes the Omaha Modern Dance Collective and the Theater Arts Guild. She has performed and choreographed for many area theaters with over 100 productions to date. She has been a two-time recipient of the Theater Arts Guild Outstanding Achievement in Choreography award. The first award was for Jesus Christ Superstar at the Bellevue Little Theater in 1995, and the second was for Children of Eden, also at the Bellevue Little Theater, in 2001. In 1993, Julian successfully opened the Adair Dance Academy. She is happily married to Steve Adair, Vice President of ADA, Inc., and they have two daughters, Camille and Colette, both avid young dance enthusiasts.
Along with performing, Kellie has an extensive teaching background. She has taught adults and children of all ages ballet, tap, creative movement, and lyrical. Kellie recently moved back home to Nebraska after living and dancing in Seattle, Washington over the past six years. She now lives in Omaha with her husband and baby girl. Mary Hill - Mary began her dance training at the age of four by taking classes at the Jewish Community Center in Omaha. Her primary focus was ballet and modern, but she also has training in jazz, hip hop, and tap. After graduating from high school, Mary began studying at the University of Iowa at Iowa City, where she majored in elementary education and continued her dance training with the university's dance program. In 2005, Mary received her masters degree in elementary counseling at Creighton University and, in addition to teaching ballet and tap to the younger students at ADA, she currently works as the elementary counselor at Miller Park Elementary School in Omaha. Mary enjoys spending time with her husband Sam; they were married in August 2006. Sarah Koenig - Sarah Koenig began her dance training at the age of three, on the U.S. Air Force base in Wiesbaden, Germany, and she continued on at the JCC (Jewish Community Center) dance department and Ballet Omaha studios in Nebraska. While attending the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, she was a member of the 'Scarlets' dance team. Sarah has taught for Universal Dance Association and the JCC dance department. Currently, in addition to teaching at ADA, she also teaches ballet, jazz and creative movement at Nebraska Dance. Sarah still loves to perform and has been seen dancing with Opera Omaha, Mannheim Steamroller, Central Dance Theater, Arcanum Contemporary Dance, Project Diva, and Liz Lerman Dance Exchange. She lives in Omaha with her husband Mike and their two sons Mason and Corbin.
