Enrollment Forms

Every student must have a current enrollment form on file with emergency phone numbers and health information. Please keep us informed of any changes to that form.

Tuition, Discounts, and Payment Plans

Adair Dance Academy follows a monthly payment system. As most people budget monthly, this will be helpful to many.

ADA also does not charge separate recital fees. All fees have been totaled and divided into 8 equal payments. Your deposit (first payment) will be used as your September tuition payment. The remaining 7 payments are due at the first class you attend each month, beginning with your October classes and ending with your April classes.

All classes have 30 weeks scheduled throughout the year (with the exception of classes you may take at St. Michael's studio). This does not include the holiday breaks.

Fall classes begin in August. A complete fall 2010 - spring 2011 schedule with specific tuition information by grade level is now available. Click here.

For anyone wishing to pay for more than one month at a time, or to pay for an entire year in one payment, please call 551-4200.

Discounts for multiple classes in the advanced levels (Grade II, III, IV, and V) have already been applied. If you have more than one student in Pre-ballet, you can subtract $4 from each month's payment. If you have more than one student in Primary or Grade I, you can subtract $5 from each month's payment.

You can make your payments at the studio.

*Tuition for students taking classes at St. Michael Lutheran Church is calculated on an per-term basis. Please refer to your enrollment form for details.

Late Payments

ADA charges a $10 late fee for monthly payments not received by the second class of each month.

Returned checks are charged $20.

Communication

Studio information is posted, announced, and available on this Web site. Please read all information carefully. ADA will send updates to you through the e-mail address you provide at the time of registration. It is your responsibility to check your e-mail regularly to ensure that you have the most current information available. If you do not have access to e-mail, please contact the studio at 551-4200 to request an alternate communication method for updates. If you are unsure about whether ADA has your current e-mail address, please contact the studio to verify.

Withdrawals and Refunds

No refunds will be given for voluntary withdrawals. A prorated refund may be given if a student must discontinue for medical reasons. A parent will need to submit a doctor's note.

A prorated refund may be granted should the student move out of Omaha and its vicinity.

Injured students are encouraged to observe class, especially during performance season. However, no adjustment to fees will be made.

Attendance/Performance Commitment

Please call in case of an absence (phone numbers are listed at the top of this page for each studio). Leave a message if we are in class when you call. Make-up classes can be arranged with your instructor.

Regular class attendance is mandatory and essential. If any student has excessive absences, as determined by the instructor and the director, Adair Dance Academy reserves the right to dismiss them permanently from enrollment, without a refund.

We want to impress upon our students the importance of attendance for the good of the entire class. Please consider this when planning other activities.

If you choose not to participate in recital, you must send a letter or an e-mail to the studio with this information. ADA must receive the information in writing no later than January 1, 2010, for the May 2010 recital. ADA does not alter fees in any way if you choose not to participate in spring recital.

Family Friendly Policy

Adair Dance Academy is family oriented and family owned. This is evident in many ways, including our age-appropriate music, movement, and costuming. It is also highlighted in our performances with our popular and trademarked parent-child choreography.  In addition, our faculty members are strong role models for our dancers; many of them are wives and mothers. Being consistent to our family friendly atmosphere, we encourage our instructors to make family a priority and especially support our teaching moms by allowing them to bring their children to class when needed. This allows us to retain high quality teachers and also sends a positive message to our dancers. The most successful businesses in America are family friendly, and we want to encourage that trend. If you have any questions concerning this policy, please contact me at 551-4200 or by email adairdance@gmail.com.

Parent/Student Obligations

All students are expected to arrive on time for classes. They are expected to be prepared, with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.  Any person displaying a lack of respect, responsibility, or safety; or any person who speaks negatively about Adair Dance Academy, fellow students, parents, or faculty will be asked to leave without a refund. If you have any questions or concerns about your child’s dance education, you are always welcome to visit with your teacher or the director. Anonymous communications are ignored and will not be addressed. Enrollment obligates you to respectfully abide by all Adair Dance Academy policies.

Parking

At the Camelot studio, please do not park or stand in the fire lane.

Severe Weather

Adair Dance Academy closes if Omaha Public Schools close for severe weather. In addition, Adair Dance Academy may close for severe weather (e.g., snow storms, tornadoes), at the director's discretion (e.g., weather becomes bad late afternoon and OPS has not closed). Call the studio for closings if you have a question.

No make up classes are scheduled due to sever weather days; however, you are always welcome to make up the class by attending an additional class the following week. Please visit with your instructor to make arrangements.

Lost and Found

Please label all your belongings and check the lost and found periodically. Unclaimed items will be discarded.

Ballerina Birthday Parties

Party! Are you celebrating your child’s birthday soon? A Ballerina Birthday Party is a great way to celebrate! Dress up, dancing and refreshments ... all you do is send the invitations! Call today to book your party (551-4200).

Class Reminders

Help us keep our floors nice by only wearing dance shoes in the studio and not wearing your dance shoes outside. Please remain in the waiting area during your child's class. If you are interested in observing a class, please visit with the instructor prior to class. Because our faculty is made up of instructors with additional professional obligations, we reserve the right to arrange for an alternate instructor. Please note our class schedule is subject to change. We reserve the right to place students in appropriate levels.

Have a wonderful year, and thank you for your patronage!
